PMO: Loading, Unloading of Goods at Iranian Ports Stand at 214 Million Tons in 11 Months
The Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) said in its latest report that over 213 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports affiliated with the PMO in the first 11 months of this year of 1402.
The report said that the total unloading and loading of oil-related products and non-oil products from March 21, 2023, to February 22, 2024 included over 101 million tons of oil-related products and more than 112 million tons of non-oil goods, a total of 213 million on aggregate.
The PMO figures showed a 5% growth in the unloading and loading of oil products, a 12%growth in the unloading and loading of non-oil goods, and a 9% increase in the unloading and loading of oil and non-oil goods together compared to the same period last year.
The PMO report added that more than 26 million tons of oil products were unloaded at ports affiliated with the PMO in that 11-month period.
According to the PMO figures, a total of 140 million tons of goods including over 74 million tons of oil-related products, and over 66 million tons of non-oil goods were loaded at the Iranian ports, indicating a 7% growth in loading of oil-related products, 23% in non-oil goods and a 14% growth in the oil and non-oil goods together as compared to the last year\s first 11 months.
Over 46 million tons of non-oil commodities were unloaded from the Iranian ports in the first 11 months of the year 1402, the report added.
Meanwhile, the PMO figures showed that more than 2 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded in the container section from March 21, 2023, to February 22, 2024, showing a 3% increase compared to the same period last year.
