New Iran-Made App Illustrates Pipelines, Water, Sewage Network
“The application for illustration of pipelines and water and sewage networks was developed to settle the problem that pipelines and networks cannot be seen in urban and rural areas and are buried underground, and therefore a large amount of money should be spent to find these networks and repair them,” Ali Hosseini, a Ph.D. graduate in computer architecture engineering and a colleague in developing the App, told ANA on the sidelines of Asreh Omid Event in Tehran.
“In this research project, we proposed augmented reality technology for illustrating pipelines and networks. This technology combines the content of the virtual environment with the real environment and thus creates a better visual understanding for the user,” he added.
Hosseini described saving time, reduction of costs for training, increasing the effectiveness, more productivity and reduction of expansion costs and decreasing costs for finding the pipelines and networks as advantages of the application to illustrate the pipelines and water and sewerage network.
Asreh Omid Event was held in Tehran's Mosalla from May 29 to June 1, 2022.
It aimed to exhibit new achievements and products in the technological and innovation arenas in line with opening new windows towards strengthening the idea of creating ground for knowledge-based businesses at the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Islamic Azad University.
Some 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research centers, and startups took part in Asreh Omid Event.
