Iranian, Chinese Researchers Jointly Conduct 10 Research Projects

TEHRAN (ANA)- Iran National Science Foundation (INSF) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) have released their fourth joint call vowing to support up to 10 research projects and 6 joint research workshops in various scientific fields.

In the call, for the first time, in addition to joint support for research projects, support for specialized workshops is taken into account with the aim of developing the network of researchers, sharing the results of the findings and scientific research of experts, building potential for the development of scientific and technological communication and also promoting science and technology.

The topics of supported research projects are as follows:

Energy-related areas: Renewable energy, high-efficiency utilization of conventional energy;

energy storage technologies;

Regenerative Medicine (Bioengineering or Biomaterial relevant to regenerative medicine);

Environment: Water and solid waste treatment

The topics of projects of supported workshops are as following:

Climate change;

Artificial intelligence and big data in engineering and industries;

Advanced Materials and Manufacturing.

Iranian researchers should prepare the English research proposal form in cooperation with their Chinese counterparts and submit their proposals on INSF website. On the registration website, in addition to uploading the common English proposal form, the Farsi online form must be filled in step-by-step and the required documents must be uploaded, which in addition to the research proposal form they include the applicant's resume and updated certificate.

The call deadline is May 22, 2024 for the applicants to register their joint proposals on the INSF website.

The maximum support for each joint research project for an Iranian researcher is 25 billion Rials (Iranian currency) for a maximum period of three years and the maximum support for each workshop for Iranian researchers is 5 billion Rials.
