Iran, UK Trade Exceed 100 Million Dollar
The UK’s Department for Business and Trade released its latest statistics accoridng to which the volume of trade with Iran last year reached 83 million pounds or 105 million dollars.
The trade between Iran and the UK in 2023 witnessed an increase of 4% compared to the previous year. The exchanges between the two countries in the months of January to December 2022 were announced to be 80 million pounds.
The UK's imports from Iran last year were 16 million pounds equivalent to 20 million dollars, showing a 1 million pounds decrease compared to the same period last year.
But UK exports to Iran in 2023 grew by 6% and recorded to be 67 million pounds equal to 85 million dollars. The UK had exported 63 million pounds of goods to Iran in the previous year.
This UK department’s figures were only for exchange of commodities between the two countries, while an important part of the exchanges between the two is related to the exchange of services.
