Iran Produces 472,000 Tons of Aluminum Ingot in 9 Months

TEHRAN (ANA)- Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) announced that the country's aluminum ingot production reached over 472,000 tons in the first nine months of the current Persian calendar year (ending on March 19).

According to a report by IMIDRO, four large aluminum companies produced 472,418 tons of aluminum ingots in the past 9 months. The figure was 474,601 tons in the same period last year.

Jonoub Aluminum company with 209,384 tons, Iralco with 128,918 tons, Al-Mahdi with 107,134 tons, and Iran Alumina with 26,982 tons had the highest aluminum ingot production this year.

Also, in the first 9 months of the current year, 170,952 tons of alumina powder, 287,358 tons of aluminum hydrate and 421,697 tons of bauxite were produced by Iran Alumina company.

Reports in August also said that the country's aluminum ingot production had reached more than 218,000 tons during the first four months of this year.

According to IMIDRO, four companies producing aluminum ingots in Iran produced 218,532 tons of aluminum ingots from the beginning of this year in the Iranian calendar (beginning on March 22, 2023) to the end of Month Tir (July 22th).

However, the figures showed that the overall aluminum production decreased by 2% compared to the same period last year which was 223,781 tons.

The total volume of aluminum ingot production in Iran was registered at more than 630,000 tons in 1401 (March 21, 2022-2023), showing a 13% as compared to the year before in the Iranian calendar.
