Iran-Made Device Blocks Growth of Toxic Algae in Fresh Water
“The algae remover is useful for cleaning pools, ponds, and generally removing toxic algae that cause fresh water pollution in farms or orchards,” said Mahmoud Esmayeeli, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
“The device uses ultrasonic technology and produces mechanical-sound waves with a frequency higher than human hearing,” he added.
Noting that the frequencies and waves that algae have problems with have been identified by the specialists of his company, Esmayeeli said, “In the next step, when the device is placed on the surface of water, the frequencies create a series of waves with high vibration and they destroy the algae.”
“The device is made in countries like the Netherlands and the US, but in the Middle East, Iran and our company is the first manufacturer of ultrasonic devices,” he underlined.
In a relevant development in March, an Iranian company active in nanotechnology field had also succeeded in production of a new type of fireproof, scratchproof, anti-algae and antibacterial paint which is also resistant to corrosion.
‘Nano Arisa Poushesh’ company managed to create new properties in coating products and make fireproof, scratchproof, anti-algae, anti-bacterial, corrosion resistance and UV resistance paints based the needs of different industries by using nanotechnology.
‘Alcoterm’ is one of the main products of the company which is a type of corrosion-resistant paint with high heat transfer. The two-component nanocoating is considered as a very suitable option for aluminum and copper, and it is also considered an excellent alternative to external paints. It has succeeded in passing more than 5,000 hours of salt spray test with its excellent adhesion on copper and aluminum.
Alcoterm enjoys very high heat transfer and is specially produced for use in cooling and heating systems and radiators. The features of this nano product are high quality, affordability and ease of access.
