Iranian Knowledge-Based Firms Accelerate Productivity of Data by Using Indigenous Systems

TEHRAN (ANA)- The knowledge-based companies in Iran have played an important role in using data as one of the main components of power building and increasing their efficiency.

Sirous Mahmoudi Koushk Qazi, the managing director of the knowledge-based Pajouhan Mateen Communication Company, is active in the field of information technology (IT).

“The company is active in three areas; software production, information analysis and providing organizational consultations. One of the company's products is the software system used by 118 (the number you dial and an operator provides you with important and emergency phone numbers in Iran), which hosts nearly one million calls daily from Iranian citizens across the country. Comprehensive school management software is another product of the knowledge-based company that covers all issues related to students, including registration, transportation and other related issues,” Mahmoudi Koushk Qazi said.

The knowledge-based company visits various organizations and companies to test their service, production and industrial processes, he added, noting, for instance all data related to the moment a citizen enters an office like an electricity company, registers a request and the way of service providing to him/her are studied and then, in a problem-finding and optimization process, the desired information is carefully analyzed and checked and the information is used as a basic data for the mechanization of processes or the production of the system and software required by that company.

“In fact, the company's information analysis has focused on doing things better and changing the way of doing the process from traditional time-consuming and low-efficiency methods to modern, and online or mechanized processes,” Mahmoudi Koushk Qazi said.

Analyzing information and big data available in an organization is another service provided by the knowledge-based company to various organizations and institutions, he said, adding that for instance, all input data is converted into understandable and readable content to be used in decision-making.

Iran has been experiencing a threefold growth of knowledge-based companies since beginning of the current year (starting March 21, 2022), a report said.

Based on the official figures, total number of Iran's knowledge-based companies has surpassed 7,000 which says the country has been witnessing a threefold growth in this regard.
