Researchers at Iranian Knowledge-Based Company Develop Laboratory Stirrers
According to a report by the Iranian Vice Presidency and Knowledge-Based Economy, Ahmad Shams, the managing director of the knowledge-based company said that in their knowledge-based company, specialized groups are doing research on developing equipment in various departments of surface and shaping engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, electrical engineering, and industrial engineering.
“This group has produced its laboratory mechanical mixers in three categories: It has designed 150 to 6,000 Rotation Per Minute (rpm). Our mixers can easily mix solutions with higher viscosity than honey. Due to being equipped with a cooling and anti-vibration system, the TNS mechanical mixer is able to continue mixing continuously even for several days without stopping,” he said.
“This collection of mechanical mixers is designed in a way that the mixing time can be programmed. This way, the stirring action will be automatically terminated at the programmed time. Controlling the speed and time in this device, in addition to the body part, can be done through Android software specifically designed for mechanical mixers.
“With this laboratory mixer, different kinds of fluids with different viscosities can be mixed and homogenized with other phases of material,” Shams added.
“The mechanical blender is used in research laboratories such as chemistry, materials, chemical engineering, microbiology, etc. and industrial research and development laboratories in industries such as pharmaceuticals, pint-making factories, food industries, cosmetics, etc.,” the researcher continued.
“The mechanical mixer (laboratory mechanical blender)-the TSN trademark is a fully digital stirrer, with an electric motor, a base and a vane, which stirs different fluids by the rotational force created by the motor. The rotation speed range of this mechanical mixer is from 150 to 1500 rpm and its speed accuracy rate is 1%. Furthermore, this mechanical stirrer is designed for mixing liquids with a viscosity higher than dough up to 20 liters, and if the suitable blade is selected and the viscosity is reduced, the mixable volume can be increased to 200 liters,” the researcher went on to say.
“One of the special features of this mechanical mixer is the continuous mixing time of this stirrer. Because it has cooling and anti-vibration systems, it can be used continuously even for several days, without excessive heat or vibration,” Shams said, adding, “The mixing time of this mixer can be programmed and it can automatically stop mixing the ingredients at the due time. To control the rotation rate of the device and its time, in addition to the control panel on the body of this mixer, you can use the special Android app provided for this laboratory mixer. Also, the last state (program) of the mixer is automatically saved and restored in case of a power supply system failure.”
