Vietnam's Shrimp Exports to Reach 3.4 Billion Dollars
According to the association, the country's shrimp exports in November topped 310 million dollars, an increase of 3.5 percent year on year.
In the first 11 months of 2023, the shrimp export revenue was estimated at about 3.15 billion dollars, a decrease of 22 percent year on year.
The association predicted that Vietnam's shrimp prices will see upward trends in the remaining time of the year in the European Union, Southeast Asia, and the Far East as major festivals are coming.
Vietnam is exporting shrimp to about 100 countries and territories across the world, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The Southeast Asian country has emerged as the world's second-largest shrimp supplier, accounting for 13-14 percent of the total global value, the ministry said.
