A resin is a solid or highly viscous substance of a plant or synthetic origin that is typically convertible into polymers. Resins are usually mixtures of organic compounds.

“The focus of our team of researchers is on the production of oligomers and UV (ultraviolet) curable resins, which can be considered one of the most important daily used products in today’s world, and their beauty and performance have an impact on coatings, adhesives, and properties of products,” Mohammad Ali Taleghani Esfahani, the managing director of knowledge-based company that produces industrial resins said, accoridng to a report by Iranian Vice Presidency for Sceience and Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy.

“With their very powerful properties, resins have a broad range of applications, from the printing and paint industry to automobiles, dentistry, and cosmetics. They dry with light and can be highly engineered. Moreover, because they do not have solvents, they can perform better when it comes to environmental issues,” he added.

“Our team of researchers have focused on the production of products such as amine-modified epoxy acrylate, which has an unparalleled curing speed and is reasonably priced too, in addition to its practical uses such as varnish, coating uses, etc.,” Taleghani Esfahani added.

“We have also focused on polyester acrylates and synergist amine acrylates which are welcome in the market. Since most of the curable resins are imported in the country, our products were compared with the imported products and the feedback we received from the market indicated that our products are significantly different from the resins available in Iran and those imported from Central Asia and they can compete with them. They can compete with European resins. We have been able to produce resins that are as good as the imported ones and can competes with the products produced by the best producers in the world,” the company director added.
