Research Center in North Khorasan Province Supplies Different Equipment, Systems to Industries
Speaking to ANA news agency, Mazdak Teimurtashloo said that the research center opened in March 2017 with the permission of the central organization of Islamic Azad University (IAU), and it is the only research center authorized by the IAU central organization in North Khorasan Province.
“One of the most important achievements of this consortium (researcher center) for the IAU Bojnurd Branch is the establishment of a 200 kW solar power plant on the campus of the university and the use of government support to change the type of outdoor lighting on the campus, which can save the university up to 750 million Rials per month,” he said.
“One of the goals of the research center is to generate income through the expansion its business beyond IAU Bojnurd university projects in the fields of industries, electricity and energy,” he said, adding, “The center has so far succeeded in obtaining more than 20 outside-university contracts worth about 18 billion Rials and it is currently concluding contracts for five projects valued at almost 40.5 billion rial (Iranian currency) with the Planning and Budgeting Organization, the Electricity Distribution Company of the province, the General Directorate of Prisons and the Technical and Vocational Training Organization of the province.”
He added that they had studied the customer satisfaction with gas and electric service providers, etc.
“Short circuit detection and system protection, self-supporting cables, earthing system, cathodic protection, automation, studies of small industries in North Khorasan province and, shortcomings, solutions and expansion of industrial and economic prosperity of villages in the province are other important topics of these plans,” Teimurtashloo he added.
“Another goal of this center is to manufacture equipment needed by industries and organizations using local expertise,” the researcher went on to say.
“Spaghetti structures loading machine, poultry weighing system(scales), electric machine load control and feeding system, LED driver for street lighting, ZVS induction furnace, remote online monitoring of electricity consumption of distribution post, monitoring of single-phase energy meters are among the main products of the center,” he explained more.
Expansion of patents in Islamic Azad University is another goal of the center, and one patent has been obtained so far, he added.
“Consultation and monitoring of photovoltaic solar power plants and generators in North Khorasan province is one of the other actions taken by this center. So far 102 units of five-kilowatt solar generators have been installed and utilized in rural areas under the supervision and consultation of this center, and the process of concluding a contract and building another 804 five kilowatt generators is underway in this province,” Teimurtashloo further said.
