Iran Records 44% Increase in Phosphate Concentrate Production

TEHRAN (ANA)- Official figures show that in the first 7months of this year in the Iranian calandar, nearly 56,000 tons of phosphate complex concentrate were produced in Iran, showing a 44% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to the statistics released by Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), Phosphordi Phosphate Complex (which is run by IMIDRO) produced 55,900 tons of concentrate from the beginning of this year of 1402 in the Iranian calendar (March 21, 2023)to the end of the month of Mehr(October 21), indicating an 44% increase. The production in the same period last year sttod at 38,826 tons. Moreover, this volume of production is 60% higher than the planned 34,950 tons.

Also, during that first seven months of this year, 189,413 tons of minerals were extracted, showing 10% increase compared to the same period last year, which was 172,682 tons.

In one case, Esfordi Mine and Plant produced 1,512 tons of concentrate and 30,301 tons of minerals in the month of Mehr this year alone, which compared to the production of 6,222 tons of concentrate and 23,703 tons of minerals last year showed a 37% and 28% growth, respectively.
