Qeshm Oil Refining Awarded as Top Exporter at Iran's Free Zones
According to public relations department of Pars Behin Palayesh Naft Qeshm, the awarding ceremony of the top exporters and investors of free economic zones was held with the participation of a number of government economic officials at the 10th International Exhibition on Exchange, Banking, Insurance and Privatization (KishINVEX®️).
In the ceremony, Hamed Dushmanfana, the CEO of Pars Behin Palayesh Naft Qeshm, received a certificate of appreciation for being the top exporter of special economic free zones in 2023 from Hojatullah Abdulmaleki, advisor to the president and secretary of the Secretary of High Council for Free Trade-Industrial and Special Economic Zones.
Pars Behin Palayesh Naft Qeshm is one of the subsidiary companies of Pasargad Energy Development Co. (PEDC), which was inaugurated by the President in the winter of 2021 and is the first super heavy oil refinery in the country. One of the most important products of the refinery is pitch or bitumen in different grades and hydrocarbon products.
The company is the largest producer of bitumen in various grades with a capacity of one million tons and hydrocarbon and naphtha products with a capacity of 800,000 tons annually.
Pasargad Qeshm Heavy Oil Refinery is Iran's first refinery based on extra heavy oil. One of its most important features is having a dedicated dock for loading bulk products with a loading rate of 500 tons of bitumen per hour and the capability to dock ships up to 45,000 tons on Qeshm Island.
