Iran-Made Nano-Based Silk Product Treats Infertility, Anovulation
"For the first time in the world, we have used fabric as a medicine and treatment aid for controlling, prevention and treatment of disease. The basis of our products is natural silk which goes through a special and complex production process,” Roqayyeh Habibi, the managing-director of the company stationed at the science and technology park of Gilan province and the electronic incubator center of Islamic Azad University, told ANA on the sidelines of the 14th International Nanotechnology Exhibition in Tehran.
“One of the important features of the product is the treatment of diseases only through skin pores without harming body parts and without using chemical or natural medicine,” she added.
Noting that her company has so far made 32 products for the treatment of various body diseases, Habibi said, “Most of these products are for women's health diseases, specially infertility and anovulation.”
“These products are highly useful for treating ovarian cysts, fibroids, premenstrual syndromes, breast cysts, kidney problems, bladder and digestive diseases, depression, Alzheimer's, etc.,” she stated.
The 14th International Nano Exhibition kicked off in Tehran on November 4 and ended on November 7 in the presence of companies active in the nanotechnology field.
As the biggest nano event in Iran, the 4-day exhibition was an opportunity to get to know about the latest achievements and developments in the field of nanotechnology.
Dozens of nanotechnological companies were present at this year's nano exhibition in various fields like oil and energy, health and health, water and environment, agriculture and packaging, automobile, paint and coating, construction, textiles, and advanced materials, and they are displaying their achievements.
The exhibition provided a suitable opportunity for technological cooperation between startups and activists of the country's innovation ecosystem in the way of commercialization of products.
