Iran’s Zanjan Inks Agreement with UAE To Re-Export Its Products to Other Countries

TEHRAN (ANA)- The chairman of Zanjan Province Exporters' Union says they have signed an agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that makes it possible to re-export Zanjan Province's manufactured and exported products from the Arab country to other regions of the world.

Speaking to reporters, Mehdi Rangrona said that the UAE can be considered as a commercial hub for the re-export of manufactured and exported products of the province.

“The UAE and Dubai and its other cities at the top of them, with paying attention to the very good relations they have with other countries of the world is a good opportunity for the development of commercial and economic activities in Zanjan province.”

 “The UAE has been able to make itself as one of the leading countries in the field of e-commerce and the technology and information center of the world, and clarified that: the GITEX exhibition, where various companies from different countries of the world are present every year, is a good opportunity. It is for the development of Iranian startups and activities related to information technology,” he added.

The head of Zanjan Exporters' Union pointed to the plans of this union to help and facilitate the activities of all exporters and economic activists of Zanjan Province in all sectors, and said, “In this regard, good programs have been considered for knowledge-based and startup activists.”

The economic official announced signing of the memorandum of cooperation between the Dubai Trade Center and the Zanjan Province Exporters Union on the sidelines of Iran's National Technology Day at the Dubai GITEX exhibition and said, "The signing of this memorandum on the occasion of [Iran’s] National Export Day can lay the ground for the development of exports from Zanjan Province or the re-export of manufactured products to different regions of the world.”

Emphasizing that the standards for product production and export are increasing day by day around the world, Rangrona added, “With that issue in mind, export facilities and economic actors' familiarity with new markets and target countries should be prioritized. Business and economic delegations to target countries and participation in various exhibitions can play an effective role in realizing that goal.”

The cooperation agreement between the Dubai Trade Center and the Zanjan Exporters' Union provides for cooperation between the two sides in areas such as export facilities and opportunities for joint cooperation, marketing and sales of products produced in Zanjan province in the UAE, cooperation and assistance to Iranian startups in order to be present in international markets and opportunities cooperation, especially in the markets of the Persian Gulf countries, assistance and facilities to technology companies to participate in the GITEX exhibition in the future and other technology exhibitions, cooperation in the field of re-exporting goods or importing products through the UAE etc.

Zanjan Exporters Union has made planning for expanding and facilitating business communication between businessmen and economic activists of the province and those of the target countries, and in line with that goal, an Iranian trade and economic delegation has already been dispatched under the supervision of the Zanjan Union, and a memorandum of cooperation has been signed with the Exporters Union of India.
