Technology for Multi-layer Composite Materials Indigenized in Iran

TEHRAN (ANA)- An Iranian knowledge-based company has indigenized the technology for producing multi-layer materials which are used in manufacturing composite structures.

Hani Chambari, the managing director of the company, said the achievement was made in 2012, adding, “We managed to indigenize the technology for producing multi-layer materials which are used in manufacturing composite structures for automotive, construction, agriculture, military, and educational industries.”

The company is ready to provide consultation services to newly-established businesses, he added.

He made the remarks on the sidelines of the Islamic Azad University's "second step of revolution" under the title of Asreh Omid Event which was held in Tehran's Mosalla from May 29 to June 1, 2022.

The event aimed to exhibit new achievements and products in the technological and innovation arenas in line with opening new windows towards strengthening the idea of creating ground for knowledge-based businesses at the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Islamic Azad University.

Some 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research centers, and startups took part in Asreh Omid Event.

During the past year, in order to realize a resilient and knowledge-based economy, a series of activities have been carried out to further develop the ecosystem of innovation and technology in the country.

Attracting the participation of relevant ministries, approving and quickly implementing the law on the surge of knowledge-based production, and expanding the activities related to the law on the protection of knowledge-based companies and institutions were among the activities.

In the current [Iranian calendar] year (March 2022-March 2023), new approaches have been taken to support knowledge-based companies both in terms of quality and quantity in line with realizing the goal of a knowledge-based economy, Iran National Innovation Fund director Ali Vahdat has said. 

So far, over 7,000 knowledge-based and 1,600 creative companies have been registered and started operations across the country.
