Amirhossein Panahi, an expert of the research and development (R&D) unit of the knowledge-based company that has manufactured the ‘Tele Cardiograph’ device, told ANA that the product consists of electronic equipment and an internet system so that the patients who suffer from chest pain or are suspected of heart diseases can use the device to periodically provide their physician with their ECG in less than five minutes.

Noting that patients can receive the results of the interpretation and analysis of heart signals in the form of a PDF file, he said, “In addition to the equipment, an application has been designed which can be installed in the cellphone to provide the patient with an opportunity to access the information.”

“In fact, the ECG records can be sent to the server so that the results will be analyzed by a specialist doctor. By using this device, patients can share the results with the doctor in real time so that the necessary treatment measures can be adopted on time,” Panahi said.

He underlined that the ECG device is very light and does not require batteries, adding, “It can also be used for all ages from infants and children to adults.”

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple, non-invasive test that records the electrical activity of the heart.

An ECG can help diagnose certain heart conditions, including abnormal heart rhythms and coronary heart disease (heart attack and angina).
