Elastomeric Isolators Produced in Iranian Company Can Withstand Temperatures between -50 & 120 °C
Shayan Alizadeh, one of the researchers at the Iranian knowledge-based company said in an interview with Iranian media that the research field of the company is construction industry.
“After 20 years of experience in this field, we obtained the know-how of making these products from countries such as Germany and Turkey. We decided to locally produce [the elastomeric isolators] six years ago,” he said.
He described the elastomeric isolators as the main product they have focused in their factory, adding, “These insulations are a substitute for the traditional glass and stone wool insulations, which are harmful to the environment.”
Alizadeh highlighted that more resistance against corrosion and also against heat and cold as one of the advantages of the elastomeric insulators, adding, “The use of these insulators in structures will save electricity and gas in the cold and hot seasons, meaning that they reduce energy consumption during those seasons.”
He said that elastomeric insulators contain 30 petroleum substances, adding, “Considering the development of the oil industry in the country, 90% of the materials to make these insulators are produced inside the country, and this is considered an advantage; because it reduces our dependence on other countries.”
Stating that these insulators have different applications depending on their types, he considered being antibacterial as one of the advantages of these insulators, which make them highly useful in the pharmaceutical, health and treatment industries.
He further said that domestically producing the insulators saves the country a lot of money by meeting the domestic needs that used to be met by imports.
Stating that the elastomeric isolators can be used in temperatures between -50 and 120 °C, he highlighted that those products can save a lot of energy in the country.
