Mohammad Javad Azizli, the Director General of Research, Development and Innovation Department of Elaheh Sustainable Structure Knowledge-based Company told ANA correspondent on the sidelines of the IRANANO 2022 Exhibition in Tehran that for the first time in Iran and the world, elastomeric thermoplastic insulation was manufactured in their company with NBR/PVC.

“These are acoustic and thermal insulators, which prevent energy loss and sound transmission in buildings” Azizli said.

“Elastomeric rubber foam is resistant to high heat, water and steam (moisture). It also resistant to UV rays. Heat transmission is the most important feature of insulation,” he added.

“The combination of acrylonitrile butadiene rubber with polyvinyl chloride makes PVC flexible and resistant to NBR ozone,” Azizli said, adding, “Clay nanoparticles are dispersed among the matrix of this polymer and can increase its mechanical features, including its resistance and strength a lot.”

Azizli said that the company’s product is the first in the world and has no similar model.

He also said that PVC raw materials are supplied by the domestic petrochemical companies, while NBR raw materials are imported from abroad despite the fact that sanctions have been a barrier to its supply and have caused some disruption in the production process.

Director General of Research, Development and Innovation Department of Elaheh Sustainable Structure Knowledge-based Company also said that the Iranian companies and projects have trusted Elaheh Structure, that is why several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and contracts have been inked with refineries, petrochemicals, Kish airport, as well as the Iran Mall international entertainment commercial project, which is considered the largest commercial complex in West Asia.
