Iranian Knowledge-Based Firm Makes Laser Device for Physiotherapy

TEHRAN (ANA)- An Iranian knowledge-based company stationed at the incubator center of the Islamic Azad University’s Shahinshahr branch manufactured a laser-based physiotherapy device.

“The young researchers at the incubator center of the University succeeded in producing a stone engraving machine based on laser technology last year,” Hamidreza Khodayi, the head of Islamic Azad University’s Shahinshahr branch, told ANA.

“As the next step which was completed last month, our knowledge-based company entered the field of treatment and medical sciences and produced another laser-based device, which, in addition to having relative advantages over foreign types, is fully functional in physiotherapy; it can also be used to treat and reduce some tissue pains,” he added.

Khodayi noted that his company is participating in various exhibitions to introduce the device.

In a relevant development in June, an Iranian knowledge-based company had also produced a laser device to do skin-related treatment and hair regrowth after considering the climatic and racial features in Iran.

Sadra Sepehri, the managing director of the knowledge-based firm told Iranian media that he founded his company in 2019 with 5 laser-related knowledge, photonics and electronics experts but now their business has created jobs for 120 people in two-year period of time.

He added that the company has now managed to acquire a sizeable share of the market for the device in the country.

“The devices designed in this company succeeded in obtaining the necessary certificates from Food and Drug Organization of Iran which is run under the health ministry, industry ministry and a knowledge-based degree from the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy,” he continued.
