Bolivia Registers Lowest Inflation Rate in Region
TEHRAN (ANA)- Bolivian President Luis Arce said that his country recorded the lowest inflation rate in the South American region in the first half of the year.
The country also maintained stable purchasing power and decreased urban unemployment rate to 4.2 percent as of April.
In a message on social media commemorating the 198th anniversary of Bolivia's independence, Arce said that the various measures adopted by the government have allowed the accumulated inflation to June "to reach only 0.8 percent, the lowest in South America."
Thanks to the population's confidence in the national government's policies, remittances sent to the country set an all-time record of 494 million US dollars in the first four months of 2023, strengthening Bolivia's Net International Reserves, the president said.
