Iran’s Pardis Technology Park, Venezuela’s PDVSA Sign MOU

TEHRAN (ANA)- Pardis Technology Park of Iran signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), the Venezuelan state-owned oil and natural gas company.

The agreement was inked by Milad Sadrkhanlou, the head of Pardis Technology Park’s trade promotion center, and Asdrúbal Chávez, the president of PDVSA.

On the sidelines of the signing ceremony, Sadrkhanlou said that more than 10 companies operating in Pardis Technology Park are in the fields of oil, gas, and petrochemicals.

During the presence of the Pardis Technology Park’s delegation in Venezuela, the memorandum of understanding was signed between Pardis Technology Park and the Venezuelan state-owned oil and natural gas company.

The provision of services and equipment to oil, gas, and petrochemical companies in Venezuela by Pardis Technology Park is the theme of the agreement, Sadrkhanlou noted. 

In this regard, 17 priorities have been identified and mentioned in the memorandum of understanding, he concluded.

In June, Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji met with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in Tehran, calling for the expansion of energy ties, especially in the oil industry.

In January, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding on the sidelines of the 6th Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Doha, Qatar, to cooperate in a variety of areas including technical services, technology transfer, training services, manpower training and cooperation in the refining sector.

In February, Pardis Technology Park hosted some 73 investors from 19 countries at the 4th Technology Investment Meeting (TIM 2022) of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation.
