Iranian Company’s Nano-Based Safety Products Exported to Foreign States
“We produce safety products and personal protective equipment, including safety gloves for workers,” Samaneh Alimahdi, the commercial manager of ‘Buffalo Group’ told ANA on the sidelines of the IRANANO 2022 exhibition in Tehran.
The 13th Nanotechnology Festival and Exhibition (IRANANO 2022) was held in Tehran on October 1-4 with participation of over 280 knowledge-based companies active in the field of nanotechnology which had presented more than 1,200 products in different areas.
“We are the first company in Iran which has produced nanofiber-layered 3D masks under the brand of Buffalo which helps people to breathe easier than other types of masks and it is much safer compared to other masks,” she added.
Alimahdi said that the masks are produced in different sizes, including for children, teenagers and adults, noting, “Our products helped workers and ordinary people a lot during the coronavirus pandemic,”
“We have been exporting our safety gloves to China since three years ago and the 3D masks to the UAE and Qatar,” she stated.
Nanofibers make good filters mostly because of two factors: mechanical and electrostatic interactions with aerosol particles.
For this reason, nonwoven fabrics—such as those obtained by electrospinning—are more efficient at intercepting small particles. On top of that, nanofibers have higher adsorption surface areas, giving them a greater ability to capture droplets and particles.
