UAE Aims to Double GDP by 2030
TEHRAN (ANA)- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) seeks to double its gross domestic product to more than 800 billion US dollars by the end of the decade, the country's minister of economy said.
"We need to double our economy to 3 trillion dirhams (817 billion dollars) by the end of 2030," said UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri in an interview with Bloomberg Television.
To achieve that aim, the country needs to achieve annual economic growth of 7 percent, said the minister.
The country saw its economy grow 7.9 percent in 2022, reaching 1.62 trillion dirhams, according to figures released by the country's Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre.
The growth was in part propelled by higher crude prices and production.
