Experience High Absorption, No Tooth Staining with Iran-made Iron Supplements
“Nik Asa Pharmed Company produces supplements, tonics, and oral drops,” Ali Farahani, the company’s sales and marketing manager told ANA on the sidelines of the 13th International Nanotechnology (IranNano) Festival and Exhibition.
Iron can adhere to pits and fissures in teeth, making it particularly difficult to clean. Stained teeth have long been one of the many side-effects of traditional iron tonics. Those who take liquid oral supplements have had to use methods such as diluting the iron with fruit or tomato juice, or using straws and droppers to try and keep the oral iron away from their teeth.
Liposomial iron is a preparation of ferric pyrophosphate carried within a phospholipidic membrane. Compared to other oral formulations, it is well absorbed from the gut and demonstrates high bioavailability together with a lower incidence of side effects.
He added that the oral drops produced by the company is flavored with vanilla essence and is welcomed by infants and babies. It also helps treat iron deficiency anemia.
The iron capsule contains also vitamin C and vitamin B12 as well, he noted.
Farahani called authorities for supporting the nanotechnology industry of the country more than the past, saying that holding such exhibitions will be a great step toward development.
The 13th International Nanotechnology Festival and Exhibition was held in Tehran from October 1 to 4. It hosted delegations from 10 countries.
Representatives of India, Syria, Mexico, China, Malaysia, Ethiopia, Brazil, Indonesia, Iraq, and Thailand held B2B meetings with Iranian companies at the Iranano 2022 exhibition.
Over 1,200 homegrown products from over 250 knowledge-based companies in the fields of construction, polymer, paint and resin, automotive and transportation, medicine and health, water and environment, agriculture and packaging, oil, gas and petrochemicals, and textile were displayed in the exhibition.
The Vice presidency for Science and Technology has supported Iranian companies to expand their markets for nanotechnology products in six countries.
The overseas representatives of the Vice presidency office in different countries are marketing and networking the sale of Iran's nanotechnology products.
Currently, the products are being exported to six countries of Italy, Turkey, Thailand, the Philippines, Armenia, and Syria.
