Senior Lawmaker: Parliament Planning to Commercialize Iranian Technologies by Yearend

TEHRAN (ANA)- Chairman of the Iranian parliament's Knowledge-Based Economy Fraction Seyed Mohsen Dehnavi said that the legislative body has extensive plans to commercialize the country’s indigenous technologies.

“The parliament has approved the law for a leap in the knowledge-based economy and has predicted the necessary supports and processes to this end,” Dehnavi told ANA on the sidelines of IRANNANO 2022 exhibition in Tehran.

“After the approval of the law by the parliament, the government also approved an executive regulations with the utmost speed and we hope to see the tangible results of this law by the yearend,” he added.

Dehnavi explained that in this law, the necessary processes for the commercialization of indigenous technologies have been predicted, adding that among the supports considered in this law are tax exemptions and payment of loans to knowledge-based companies.

“One of the main cores to produce a high-quality product is to pay attention to the issue of export, and if we focus on the export, the quality will automatically increase,” he added.

The 13th version of nanotechnology festival under the title of IRANNANO 2022 started on Saturday October 1st. Around 280 exhibitors have participated in the 4-day event. the exhibitors have presented at least 1,200 new nano products in the festival which has been held in Tehran Permanent International Fairground.
