A simple cloud server is a virtual (not physical) servers running in a cloud computing environment that can be accessed on demand by unlimited users. Cloud servers work just like physical servers and they perform similar functions like storing data and running applications.

An Iranian knowledge-based company presented its domestically made cloud server at the 26th international electronic, computer and e-commerce exhibition or ELECOMP, which started in Tehran (June 25-29) after a four-year hiatus with the participation of 50 foreign companies to offer their latest services.

“Our company operates as the country's oldest center in the field of data. Our cloud servers provide an ideal platform for a wide range of web projects,” said Tahereh Biglar, one of the directors of the knowledge-based firm in an interview with ANA on the sidelines of the ELECOMP exhibition.

“This data center is one of the most strategic data centers in the country, which currently backs and supports more than 70% of the country's stock market and insurance data,” she said.

The head of business development of the company continued to talk about the necessity and knowing of the due time to buy a cloud server, saying, “When you need to launch your own special website, need a high-performance infrastructure for web developers, need a high-performance game server, or when you are planning to start a startup, it is the high time to buy these servers.”

“The company has provided new infrastructure for cloud products that are generally offered to users,” she added.

According to Biglar, their cloud server can be connected to three main points, with low ping (data transfer speed) and high stability, as its main three competitive advantages.

She noted that they launched locally producing the server because these services are expanding all over the world, and Iran should not lag behind the global trend.

“On the other hand, we should be able to have the largest amount of data and data center with the minimum physical space, so that we can provide more services and data,” she also said.
