Iranian Researchers Produce Dew Point Measurement Machine

TEHRAN (ANA)- Researchers in Iran have domestically produced a hygrometer which measures dew point, temperature and humidity of pure gases precisely.

“The researchers at this knowledge-based company succeeded in making a dew point machine, which detects pure gases such as nitrogen, argon oxygen, carbon dioxide etc. and announces the amount of moisture inside those gases with an accuracy of one thousandth,” Afsaneh Karimi, a technical expert at the chemical laboratory of the Iranian knowledge-based company told ANA News Agency’s correspondent in an interview.

She said that the hygrometers are very important for companies that operate in the field of steel and iron smelting, adding, “The humidity level of the consumed and pure gas in the furnace need to be kept low.”

The representative of the knowledge-based company pointed to the advantages of the device and said, “It can simultaneously detect and report the dew point, the water content inside the device, and the temperature of the normal environment for all types of gases.”

Karimi further said that the Dew Point machine does not have locally-made counterpart, adding, "The accuracy of the device that this knowledge-based company successfully produced is much higher than its foreign counterparts.”

She highlighted potability of the device as an advantage, saying that the device can be carried everywhere.

Referring to the other advantages of the Iran-made machine, Karimi added, “This device is specifically made for detecting oxygen, nitrogen and 6 pure gases at the same time.”

 “This Iran-made device with an accuracy of 1,000 million per part and its low price is very productive and useful for the country, while the foreign counterparts which have thus far been imported enjoy a lower accuracy and high price. Such initiative plans prevents exit of a considerable amount of foreign currency from the country,” she concluded.
