Company in Iran Manufactures Antibacterial Toilet, Wash-Stand Sink
The antibacterial squat toilet and wash-stand sink which has been modified by the settlement of nanoparticles on ceramic surfaces in a solution medium has been produced by ‘Marjan Garizat Sanitary Porcelain’ company.
It enables removing the hazardous microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other germs with no need for detergents.
The well-engineered deposition of nanomaterials on conventional toilet and wash-stand sinks has resulted in its antibacterial activity, self-cleaning with no need for chemically corrosive detergents and prevention of growth and reproduction of microorganisms.
The antibacterial toilet and wash-stand sink can be used in bathrooms, swimming pools, toilets and health centers.
Relevant reports earlier this year also said that an Iranian industrial company had produced toilet bowels using nanotechnology that controls or prevents the growth of harmful bacteria, fungi, and mold on the surface of the toilet seat.
The antibacterial surface of the toilet seat ensures lasting cleanliness, while the seat itself can be removed for cleaning in no time at all.
The spread of fungal infections, skin allergies, and infectious and microbial diseases are among the most common consequences of contracting bacteria in public places.
In this regard, the company embarked on producing ceramic sanitary ware products with antibacterial properties, containing nanoparticles.
These nanoparticles have photocatalytic and photooxidation properties in contact with biological and chemical components.
The use of nanoparticles with dimensions less than one hundred nanometers has created antibacterial properties due to increased specific surface area, more reactivity, and appropriate photocatalytic properties.
Better cleanability and prevention of unpleasant odors in public toilets are among the features of this type of product.
