Iranian Knowledge-Based Company Develops Dry Ice Cleaning Techniques for Keeping Factories Neat
"This device can wash furniture,car chairs, industrial, aviation and ship-making factories and other indstrial complexes without the use of water and any chemicals and only with dry ice" Farhad Afshar, the managing director of a knowledge-based company, said in an interview with ANA News Agency on the sidelines of Asr-e Omid exhibition in Sirjan about the cleaning and sanitizing technique with dry ice.
"The raw material that this industrial device uses is dry ice. The company's technologists change the CO2 gas from liquid to solid and turn it into grains like rice grains at a temperature of -72 degrees Celsius, pour it into the machine and do the cleaning job with it," he added.
"The advantage of this method is that it is mobile and portable for the first time in the world and can wash everything without water. The method has gained three international standards of EPA , FTA and UST," Afshar said.
The knowledge-based company managing director futrher said that the machine is as large as a washing machine therefore can be carried to the workplace.
He went on to note that in other cleaninig techniques, factories have to be shut down for cleaning puposes while in the icre dry method, machines and equipment are cleaned while they are working and there is no need to shut down the production line.
Asr-e Omid (Age of Hope) exhibition was held on the campus of Islamic Azad University-Sirjan branch in the city of Sirjan located in the Southeastern Kerman Province on May 22-June 1, 2023.
