Iranian Researchers Design System to Recycle Wastewater
"The system is named the reactor for the treatment of gaseous pollutants which is displayed at the Asr-e Omid Sirjan exhibition,” Saeed Parhodeh, managing director of Femto Research Center at Shiraz branch of Islamic Azad University said in an interview with ANA News Agency about the product on the sidelines of the event in Sirjan.
“This center operates in industrial activities including desalinating and purfying systems and It specializes in wastewater treatment, gas treatment systems, dust removal and environmental pollutant treatment,” he added.
Parhoudeh talked about the industrial products made at the Femto Research Center, which were displayed at the Asr-e Omid Sirjan exhibition, saying, “The Vatox nanobubble system is used for treatment of industrial effluents. The system has been installed and become operational on four devices, including gas purification reactors, electrostatic filter systems (to remove dust from environment), monitoring systems (which acts like a network and collects environmental information).”
“Industrial effluents are left in the environment and cause environmental pollution, that is why the activity of this center has focused on building systems that can desalinate industrial effluents and return water to the consumption cycle,” he said.
The managing director of Femto Research Center further noted that all stages of designing and manufacturing products are carried out in the center, explaining, “Gaseous pollutants are produced as a result of industrial activities. For that, industrial devices and electrostatic filters are designed and manufactured in the center and have been handed over to the industry.”
Asr-e Omid (Age of Hope) exhibition was held on the campus of Islamic Azad University-Sirjan branch in the city of Sirjan located in the Southeastern Kerman Province on May 22-June 1, 2023.
