Iranian-Made Software to Make Transportation in Cities Smart
Making urban transportation smart is possible through using new technologies such as electronics, communications, software and computerized control systems.
Now, Iranian knowledge-based companies active in the field smart transportation are taking steps to improve the living level in cities by making the vehicles mobility smarter.
Recently, ANA News Agency correspondent sat down for an interview with Raza Tavanarad, the managing director of "Cabok Andishan Yeganeh Tose'eh Ayandeh" knowledge-based company, who was participating at the Asr-e Omid exhibition in Sirjan with the product "Transportation Managment System" and to discuss how to use smart systems in managing mobility of transportation and vehicles in cities.
“The software (system) designed and created by this company in the field of transportation are useful for transportation or travel agencies, municipality and road construction organizations,” Tavanarad said.
“This software can monitor the mobility of cars online and how they operate, such as their speed, distance, fuel consumption, etc, to prepare a report to give it to the user (driver),” he added.
Emphasizing the necessity of using the locally-produced software, he stated, “The foreign equivalent of this software is not effective for use in the transportation in a long period of time; Because after some time, it will be unavailable to the user as it cannot be updated, so it is not reliable.”
Tavanarad, who said their company is based in Islamic Azad University-Yazd branch added, ”This localized software is completely designed based on customer needs.”
He divided the company's products into three different groups of hardware, software and GPS, stressing that full support will be provided from the company to the user in case of any shortcomings or malfunctions.
Asr-e Omid (Age of Hope) exhibition was held on the campus of Islamic Azad University-Sirjan branch in the city of Sirjan located in the Southeastern Kerman Province on May 22-June 1, 2023.
