Iranian, Belgian Universities Ink MoU to Expand Cooperation

TEHRAN (ANA)- A joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Alborz Province Islamic Azad University and Technofest Institute of Technology University (TITU) international online university was signed with the aim of training Iran's cultural attaché.

The MoU was signed by Hossein Kalantari Khalilabad, the Secretary of the Board of Trustees and President of the Islamic Azad University of Alborz Province in Karaj and Behzad Jaibashi, the Vice President Technofest Institute of Technology University (titu)international online university.

In the meeting, Hossein Kalantari Khalilabad attached importance to international students as cultural attachés for Iran, adding, “Considering capabilities of the IAU-Alborz province branch which enjoys more than 45,000 students, 504 faculty members, five units and educational centers, 13 faculties in Karaj branch, the IAU is trying to launch subject-oriented faculties to tackle the problems in the province.”

“ We have the necessary preparation for joint cooperation with the Belgian TITU university in the fields of educational activities, specialized skill courses, exchange of professors, holding specialized seminars and conferences, and commercialization of knowledge. Moreover, we are ready to accept students from the other side with the aim of training Iran's cultural attachés in other parts of the world,” he added. 

"The purpose of signed MoU is conducting joint educational and research programs, exchange of students, researchers and professors, launching sabbaticals, holding joint scientific confrences, cooperation in scientific journals, laying the ground for holding joint courses and workshops, cooperation in holding specialized short-term (skill) courses and public course in various scientific, technical and specialized fields, joint cooperation in the field of science and technology parks, cooperation in the field of knowledge commercialization, development of the two nations’ language and literature, introduction of history, art and civilizations of both countries," he concluded.
