Iranian Company Produces Herbal Ointment to Prevent Developing of Stretch Marks in Pregnant Women
“The ointment for preventing pregnancy stretch marks produced by our company plays a significant role in increasing the elasticity and softness of the skin, and using it during pregnancy prevents the appearance of stretch marks on the skin under the abdomen after delivering the baby,” Maryam Hosseini, the managing director of the Iranian company said, according to the public relations department of Samen Health Research and Technology Fund.
She said that stretch marks developed during pregnancy are really uncomfortable for women and are usually will not disappear, and conducting surgeries to remove them also costs a lot that lots of women cannot afford, adding, “For that, using our ointment during pregnancy is offered not only because of its great effect, but also for its low cost."
Hosseini pointed to the advantages of her company's herbal product over the other similar products produced inside or outside the country, saying, “Domestically produced and foreign products available in the market are usually used during pregnancy or after pregnancy and do not have a special formula for pregnancy and prevention of the stretch marks to appear, but our product which is used during pregnancy will increase the elasticity of the skin and the skin is not damaged until the ninth month of pregnancy.”
She pointed to the funds and finances that they received from the Samen Health Research and Technology Fund, saying, “Our sales activity started last year, but to increase production and develop our share in the market, we needed more funds to buy raw materials, for which we received funds from the Samen Health Fund.”
According to the public relations of Samen Fund, Hamidreza Farhadi, the managing director of Samen, said that the domestically produced ointment to prevent the pregencey stretch is superior to its domestic and foreign rivals because it is natural.
Farhadi added that the herbal ointment has received health patent and permission for mass production from the Food and Drug Administration of Iran.
Farhadi further pointed out that the findings of the research to produce the ointment is presented in an article which is submitted to highly prestigious European journal.
“These results show that women who use this product during pregnancy will not develop the stretch marks,” he concluded.
