Iran Second in World for Producing Train Axles, Wheels Milling Machinery
Pouyan Electronics Company manufactures systems and machinery meeting national and international standards, Ahmad Safdarinasab, the managing director of the company, said.
“The company was founded in 2012 in Markazi province. It is a forerunner in manufacturing industrial equipment,” Safdarinasab said, adding that since 2018 the company has been operating as a knowledge-based company at the science and technology park of Markazi province.
For the time being, the company is producing electronic systems which are used in industrial projects. Some 50 people are working in Pouyan Electronics Company.
Safdarinasab went on to say that the company is planning to export products to the neighboring countries, particularly Iraq, Turkey, and Armenia.
The advanced industrial systems produced by the company are used in the oil and gas, telecommunications, and home appliance industries. One of our main goals is to become the main producer of electronic boards in West Asia, Safdarinasab stressed.
Despite sanctions, domestic industries have gained the capability to update their knowledge and technologies and increase their capacity to expand markets.
In July, Deputy Foreign Minister Mehdi Safari said that the export of knowledge-based products reached $836mln during the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year, which started on March 21.
Safari said that the figure stood at $400mln last year.
So far, 748 knowledge-based companies have been granted customs duty exemption, according to the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology.
By creating a customs support package, the Vice Presidency aims to facilitate the access of knowledge-based companies to the goods, laboratory equipment, and machinery, which is not intended to increase imports but to strengthen national production.
