Iranian Nano Company Exports Graphene, Oxide Graphene to Europe
"At present, we have two production lines for graphene and graphene oxide with a capacity of 40 kilograms per month which is possible to increase,” said Yousef Amrollahi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company active in the nanotechnology field.
“We have also focused on the export market. We are in negotiations to export graphene and graphene oxide to the Canadian market. Our products have reached to the Canadian customers at a price of 50 dollars per gram, while the price of similar products from other companies is nearly 250 dollars per gram. This price difference, along with the high quality of our products have caused the Canadian companies active in the electronics industry to purchase the Iran-made products. The quality of graphene and graphene oxide produced by our company can compete with the products of Merck, Germany, while the price is much lower,” he added.
“Last year, we managed to transfer antibacterial and thermal insulation nano paint technology to Germany, and the production line of this type of paint is being launched in the European country. Our company has already exported nano paints to Qatar,” Amrollahi said.
Also earlier this year, an Iranian knowledge-based company produced graphene heaters for car mirrors that have found customers in Australia.
Researchers at the mentioned company are trying to promote the product in both domestic and foreign markets.
Faryad Seydi, the managing director of the company, said the heaters have the ability to absorb steam and water from the mirror.
He made the remarks on the sidelines of the 13th International Nanotechnology Festival and Exhibition, which was held in Tehran from October 1 to 4 last year.
This product creates uniform heating on the surface of the mirror. Therefore, the driver will have a perfect view, he added.
He pointed out that if the car's mirrors do not provide the correct view to the driver, especially in the cold seasons of the year, the possibility of road accidents will increase.
“Graphene has been used in the production of this flexible heater,” he said, adding, “A nanoscale certificate has been issued for these graphene heaters by the Iran Nanotechnology Innovation Council," he added.
