In an interview with Iranian media, Mehdi Golabi Dilmaghani, the executive director of the technological company based in IAU West Azarbaijan Branch, said that detection kits were the main focus of their technical team’s activty.

“These kits can be offered in two formats of Rapid Test kits and ELISA kits,” he said.

As regards the kit they have produced to detect colorectal cancer, Dilmaghani said that colorectal cancer kills a lot of people in the world annually due to the fact that the detection kits available in the market fail to detect it in the early stages of the disease to prevent it from spreading.

He claimed that their kits have the capability to detect the cancer before the tumors are formed.

According to the researcher, their kit is capable of detecting the disease in less than 10 minutes with 95% accuracy based on specific genes in a Rapid Test format.

With regard to the production of HPV and cervical cancer detection kits, Dilmaghani said, “This disease is increasing exponentially; it is blamed as a factor behind infertility.”

He said that the method to detect HPV and cervical cancer is costly, adding, “But we have released kits with timely speed that can detect the disease in less than 10 minutes,” he added.
