Sangestani: Special Technology & Science Zone to Be Inaugurated in Bushehr
Soroush Heydari Sangestani, head of the Islamic Azad University of Bushehr, who had attended Asreh Omid Event, said that a pilot plan under the title of the special technology and science zone will be inaugurated in Alishahr site of the university.
He underlined that the mentioned pilot plan is the first of this kind in the country, adding, "We promise to the province's people that they will witness an unprecedented rise in the knowledge-based job-creating field simultaneous with the 40th anniversary of establishment of the Islamic Azad University".
Sangestani said that the plan will certainly decrease the people's problems in the province.
The academic official who was making the remarks while attending ANA's booth in Asreh Omid Event highlighted 40 years of the IAU's progress in various fields of education and research.
"Last (Iranian) year (March 21, 2021 to March 20, 2022), the IAU Bushehr branch managed to attract at least 55 percent of university students in the province", Sangestani said, adding that the Islamic Azad University has been a very good bedrock for increasing knowledge-based products and enhancement of entrepreneurship.
It should be mentioned that the Islamic Azad University's "second step of revolution" under the title of Asreh Omid Event was held in Tehran's Mosalla from May 29 to June 01, 2022 to exhibit new achievements, equipments and products in the technological and innovation arenas in line with opening new windows towards strengthening the idea of creating ground for knowledge-based businesses at the 40th anniversary of establishment of the Islamic Azad University.
Asreh Omid Event gathered one thousand research and infrastructural groups and centers nationwide, one thousand new ideas and startups and also one thousand technological companies.
The Islamic Azad University as a private university system headquartered in Tehran is one of the largest comprehensive systems of universities, colleges, and community colleges in the world. The IAU which is the world's sixth-largest university was approved and ratified by the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution in 1982.
