Iranian Gov’t Calls for Production of Natural Flavorings by Knowledge-Based Companies

The Headquarter is resolved to complete the chain of value of production and processing of medicinal plants in the field of perfumery and natural flavoring industries by supporting the proposed plans of knowledge-based companies for first-time production, semi-industrial production and commercialization and market development based on the country's priorities.

Projects that involve production of aromatic compounds and additives for the perfumery industry, development of perfume and essence formulations based on natural materials, development of natural flavorings and oleoresins, and development of perfume production equipment will be prioritized for receiving governmental supports.

The interested companies can send their plans by mid October.

Essential oils or flavors in addition to increasing the taste and smell of food enjoy antibacterial properties and eliminate the bad smell of certain materials. They have a large market in the world.

In Iran, the profit margin of the flavoring industry is high due to the large variety of these products and due to the vast harms of chemicals, the market has moved towards the production and use of natural flavorings; therefore, indigenized production of these products enjoys a good economic justification for the country.
