Calcium Carbonate Nanoparticles Production Line Launched in Iran
Calcium carbonate nanoparticles offer an array of industrial applications owing to their non-toxicity, biocompatibility with bodily fluids, high porosity, and high surface area-to-volume ratio.
For the time being, some 5,000 tons of the product is needed in the country annually.
Currently, the production line capacity of this company is 1,500 tons per year.
Launching the production line makes Iran the eighth-largest producer of calcium carbonate nanoparticles in the world.
Calcium carbonate nanoparticles are used in various fields of industry such as polymer, paint, oil and gas, rubber, stone paper, leather, cable and wire, tile, and ceramic.
Some 97 percent of the materials used for this production line are supplied from Semnan industrial park and three percent from Tehran. So, there is no need for importing the product from external sources.
The company has previously supplied a solution to the market that creates a water-repellent coating on the glass and provides better visibility to the driver on snowy and rainy days.
The spray can be used for windshields, tiles, ceramic and glass surfaces, homes, hospitals, hotels, and stores.
Using the product reduces the need for washing several times and saves water.
