Specialized App Developed by Iranian Engineers Facilitates Online Psychological Counseling
“The ‘Alo Moshaver (Hello Therapist)' software, specially designed for psychology clinics, has specific panels for managers, psychotherapists, personnel, clients, and financial affairs employees which makes management of the clinics very easy and fast for the users,” Somayyeh Badeiyee, the developer of the psychology application, told ANA on the sidelines of Asreh Omid Event.
Online counseling, like traditional counseling that takes place in person, is a mental health service that is provided through online mediums such as mobile apps, video conferences, text messages, email, or any platform where a conversation can occur virtually.
She added that the software enjoys the advantage of face-to-face, telephone and internet scheduling with the possibility to send reservation, postponement and cancelling SMS to the patients and psychotherapists, noting that it is also capable of displaying the caller's information on the software panel which boosts the productivity and efficiency of the clinics.
“The software also makes it possible to save call history and missed calls. It has a web-based application with the capability of running on all cell phones in a way that the clients can easily arrange online psychological consultations and consult with counseling psychologists virtually via the application,” Badeiyee said, adding that the managers can also increase the efficiency and productivity of their clinics by receiving different and comprehensive reports about the staffs and management of the clinic.
Stressing that the ‘Alo Moshaver’ software has been specially developed for the psychology clinics, she said that it one year that the software has been used in three clinics in Iran to find out the possible weaknesses and fix them.
“We believe that the clinics working uniquely on psychology field will gradually realize the superiority of the software compared to their counterparts because most of the software designed for general clinics do not enjoy the capability of doing psychological tests, online consultations or web-based applications,” Badeiyee underlined.
