Iranian Knowledge-Based Firm Manufactures Electroencephalography
According to the CSTC public relations department, Omid Shoaei, the director of an Iranian knowledge-based company, pointed to the broad applications of EEG devices in the field of neurology and said that it records the electric signals that brain produces when it is functioning.
"Researchers, especially in the fields of cognitive neurosciences, can identify the molecular and cellular process of the brain and related brain disorders by examining and analyzing the electric signals of the nerve cells stored by this device, and use these findings to solve problems and treat shortcomings,” the researcher said.
He stated that the recording of nerve signals is necessary to observe and study cognition, decision-making and learning process in the brain in order to decode the processes of the brain's physiological and computational cores, adding that the EEG device was produced through the scientific and technological expertise and efforts of the staff in the company.
He added that the device is designed and manufactured at a high quality and also at a reasonable price that can compete with its imported rivals.
The director of the knowledge-based firm expressed hope that with the development of this knowledge-based product, the country’s medical community and laboratory centers’ domestic needs will be met.
Shoaei went on to say that a specialized research team in the knowledge-based company has also managed to design and manufacture Holter blood pressure monitor and brain nerve cell stimulator device, adding, the company is following the process of gaining potent and licenses.
