Iranian Company Produces Anti-Odor, Water Repellent Sportswear

“One of our products is anti-odor and water-repellent sportswear. This product is already available in the market,” Fateme Esmaeili, the co-founder of the technology company told Iranian media in an interview, adding that they launched their activity in the company in 2018.

‘The fabric used in this kit is designed in such a way that one side is hydrophilic, which makes it absorb body sweat,” she explained.

“The other side of the fabric is water-repellent, which will prevent sweat from going down to remain on the clothes,” Esmaeili added.

The researcher said that the two properties, being anti-odor and water-repellent, is because they used nanotechnology in producing the kit.

She went on to say that the kit can be rinsed in the washing machine and there will be no loss of color.

The co-founder of company emphasized that different nanomaterials have been used in the fabric besides silver nanoparticles.
