Iranian Knowledge-Based Company Develops Software to Manage Maintenance, Repairs
According to the news service of the Iranian Vice Presidency for Research and Technology, Koroush Omrani, a member of the board of directors of the knowledge-based company, pointed out that “Iransakht” or “Production of Iran” management software manages all maintenance and repair activities in the organization.
He further explained how the software operates saying that the equipment and machines and their preventive maintenance instructions are entered in the software, and then after the machines operate, the software prepares periodic preventive programs for them.
He continued that the maintenance and repair management system also has the capability to record all emergency activities ongoing in the organization, adding, "This cloud-based software reduces the time it takes to create and complete instructions. It also gives technicians the ability to add and recover key details at repaired place using a mobile phone."
“Today, 350 billion rials (Iranian currency) must be spent to import a maintenance and repair management system , while it is possible to aquire an Iran-made program with the same capabilities for only 20 billion rials,” Omrani noted.
