Iran-Made Air Filter Pads Reduce Pollution Up to 90 Percent
The knowledge-based product is widely used in industries, urban areas and indoor environments like offices, gyms and homes to remove all types of gaseous pollutants, volatile organic compounds, unpleasant odors, viruses and microorganisms.
The filter is also capable of absorbing various pollutants and decompose and remove them through the production of hydroxyl and superoxide free radicals. The filter also enjoys intrinsic antiviral properties against bacteria, fungi and mold.
Saeed Amarlouyee, the managing director of the company, elaborated on applications of the air purification filter pad in indoor environments, saying, “The product can be used in office and home environments in three modes of air purification device filters, air purification filter pads (passive without the need for an air purifier) and granular filter pads.”
“These filters are capable of purifying air, removing gaseous pollutants and breaking down the volatile organic compounds by hydroxide and superoxide free radicals. Also, given their powerful antimicrobial features, they can remove viruses and microorganisms like bacteria, fungi, molds and yeasts,” he noted.
In a relevant development, a knowledge-based company in Iran stationed at the Science and Technology Park of University of Tehran designed and produced a smart air purification and disinfection device.
Several technologies have been combined and applied in the home-made smart air purification and disinfection device in a way that the nano-based and photocatalytic system is placed beside the green plasma to help purify the air better and with greater synergy.
The Iran-made air purifier has a primary pre-filter system, a protective filter in which silver nanoparticles and micro-titanium are used, and the next filter is made of active nanocarbon.
The device enjoys the capability to analyze temperature, humidity percentage, amount of pollutant gases, air quality index and gas leakage with five environmental sensors, and displays them on its screen.
It is also equipped with a software which connects to the cell phone and can be controlled remotely. The nano-based air purifier, which is available in different colors, enjoys the ability to purify an environment of 48 cubic meters, i.e. 160 square meters, with a height of three meters.
