Iranian Knowledge-Based Firm Produces Cell Washers
A knowledge-based companies, which has produced cell washers, started its activity in the field of advanced machinery manufacturing in 2016. The company has currently five people who are working directly there, in the meantime, 30 people are working indirectly in the firm.
The latest product under research and development of that company is the "Cell Washer" device. This device is able to simultaneously prepare 42 samples in 10 minutes to determine blood "RH", according to the report.
Cell washing centrifuges are used in performing blood grouping, typing, compatibility and cross-matching; Rh and antiglobulin (AGT or Coombs) tests; and slide staining. They contain the same basic components as any other centrifuges: the electric motor, the rotor or head, the bowl, and the motor drive electronics.
The Iranian home-made device can reduce cell washing time from 25 minutes to less than a few minutes, while, the price of the domestically manufactured device is estimated to be half the price of its foreign rivals.
The Iranian firm has used the most advanced power washer brushless motor in the cell washer, the report also said, adding that in addition to its numerous accessories, it provides the possibility of centrifuging samples in all kinds of standard tubes, conical tubes, blood collection tubes, micro tubes, etc.
