Iran Opens First Trade Center in Russia

TEHRAN (ANA)- Head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization announced that the country' first trade center has been inaugurated in Russia to explore more avenue toward expansion of economic cooperation between the two friendly nations.

Alireza Peymanpak, the Head of Trade Promotion Organization and Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade said that opening Iran's trade center in Russia is aimed at materializing the projected prospect of increasing trade transactions between Tehran and Moscow up to eight billion dollars within the next two years.

He further said that Iran's trade center in Russian will be capable of holding face-to-face meetings between Iranian and Russian businessmen, concluding cooperation contracts, preparing necessary documents, providing banking services, insurance and customs consulting, as well as providing legal support for industrialists and Iranian and Russian traders.

"Iran's first trade center in Russia was established by joint efforts of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, Ministry of Cooperatives Labour and Social Welfare, Trade Promotion Organization, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia, and Joint Iran-Russia Chamber of Commerce, with full support of the Iranian Parliament's Cooperation and Economic Committee," Peymanpak added.

Dmitri Zubov, the Chairman of Board of Directors of the Central Union of Russian Consumers' Society, who had also attended the opening ceremony of the Iran's first trade center in Russia, said, "Following establishment of this center, the necessary measures will be taken for Iranian and Russian industrialists and businessmen to do their best to enhance economic ties between Moscow and Tehran more than ever."
