Iran, Pakistan vow to deepen security cooperation
The agreement was reached during talks between Momeni and Munir at Pakistan’s General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, where the two officials reviewed bilateral cooperation and discussed issues of mutual interest.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Army’s media wing on Tuesday, the discussions focused on regional and bilateral security, as well as measures to improve border management.
During the meeting, Momeni praised Pakistan’s continued efforts and diplomatic role in helping ease regional tensions, promoting de-escalation and supporting peace initiatives.
The talks concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to closer coordination and stronger cooperation mechanisms aimed at preserving regional security and advancing mutual prosperity, the statement said.
