In a statement released ahead of the funeral and farewell ceremonies on Friday, the IRGC described the events as more than a farewell, calling them a renewal of commitment to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and the continuation of the martyred Leader’s path.

The statement said Ayatollah Khamenei was assassinated in a terrorist attack at the outset of the third imposed US-Israel war.

It added that his martyrdom, along with those of other Iranian military commanders, resistance figures, and schoolchildren, would strengthen national resolve.

The IRGC stressed that Iran’s Armed Forces remain on full military and operational alert under the country’s new leadership.

It warned that any hostile action or strategic miscalculation by Iran’s enemies would receive a forceful response that would, in its words, be remembered throughout history.

The statement also urged Iranians to attend the farewell, funeral, and burial ceremonies in large numbers, saying widespread public participation would demonstrate national unity, resilience, and continued support for the country’s leadership while sending a clear message to Iran’s adversaries.
