Iran Nano Body Invites Researchers to Offer Innovative Ideas for Storing Natural Gas
The Tehran-based Special Headquarters for Nano Development and Amper Innovation Center has released an announcement calling on researchers to submit their creative and innovative ideas to make an active adsorbent for use in natural gas storage tanks using the adsorbent natural-gas (ANG).
Today, the ANG storage system is a promising alternative to the current storage system Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). The ANG technology makes it possible to store the same amount of gas at a much lower pressure than the CNG system.
According to scientific articles available online, natural gas is usually stored underground, in large storage reservoirs. There are three main types of underground storage: depleted gas reservoirs , aquifers, and salt caverns. In addition to underground storage, however, natural gas can be stored as liquefied natural gas (LNG).
According to the announcement by Nano headquarters, the proportionality of the raw material supply source for the production of activated carbon, the ability to generalize the selected synthesis method is one of requirements that the summited ideas need to meet.
The selected creative papers will be awarded in the conference in addition to the giving advice how to gain permission to winning creative teams to establish a knowledge-based company.
